Aardvark is a language services company based in the historic city of York, England.
We provide project-managed translation and interpreting services in a variety of languages.
Aardvark was founded by our Managing Director, Nathaniel Elcock.
“I started Aardvark because I have a passion for languages and saw a need for a personalised, high quality translation and interpreting service – a need which was not being met by many language service providers. Aardvark came into being in 2010, and was incorporated the following year.
As Managing Director, I oversee the day-to-day business, and personally ensure that our high quality standards are maintained. I also drive our broader business strategy. Being a trained translator and conference interpreter is a distinct advantage, as it gives me a comprehensive understanding of the professions, and of our clients’ expectations.
My professional training, coupled with my interest in technology, means that I can enable the company to change sympathetically to developments within the industry, while continuing to tailor our services to our clients’ needs.
Alongside my role at Aardvark, I am also Lecturer in Interpreting and Translation at the University of Central Lancashire, Associate Lecturer in Translation at the University of York and Honorary Secretary of the National Networks for Interpreting and Translation (NNI & NNT).
I hope you enjoy browsing our website, and if I can be of any assistance, please do get in touch: nathaniel@aardvark.eu“
