Voice-Over

Subtitling – Overlay Foreign-language subtitles on your film or video

This is often the most cost-effective solution, and will suit many people’s needs. Please read our subtitling and voice-over project management pages to find out more about what this involves. One of the first things which needs doing with any subtitling project is to transcribe (and possibly time-code) the original spoken content. If you require transcription without translation or subtitling, please contact us. We are able to provide this as a stand-alone service.

Voice-over – Have your video narrated by a native speaker of your required language(s)

Voice-over is a more expensive option than subtitling, as it is rather more labour-intensive. However, if you want your target audience to feel that you are engaging directly with them in their own language, foreign-language voice-over gives a fantastic impression.

Additional considerations with voice-over include: studio hire, linguistic director, and voice-over artist’s ‘buyout fee’. Please call us for advice; we will try and make things as clear as possible for you.

If you require voice-over without translation (e.g. by an English-language voice artist), please contact us. As with transcription, we can provide this as a stand-alone service.
